Traditional dentures can replace full or partial tooth loss
Although they’ve been around for ages, today’s dentures are more comfortable and natural-looking. Today’s dentures are definitely not like your grandmother’s old dentures!
There are basically two types of dentures:
Full dentures that replace all of your teeth
Partial dentures that replace several missing teeth
Both types may require that some teeth be pulled out, or that some surgery be performed on the bony ridges beneath the gums to better accommodate your new dentures so that they have a perfect feel and fit.
When a tooth or a number of teeth need to be extracted but you don’t want to be without your teeth until dentures are made, we offer the immediate denture option.
We begin by taking an impression of your teeth before removal of the teeth. Once the dentures are made, we then remove the teeth as per our plan, and insert the denture straight away.
You don’t have to be without teeth for a single moment
It helps in healing
They are sometimes used as interim dentures, which will give you an opportunity to experience the denture so you can make the changes as per your requirement when you decide to go for the final denture after healing is completed.
Both full and partial dentures are removed at night when you go to sleep, so that saliva can “wash” over your gums to maintain a healthy mouth.
Are you sick of having ill-fitting, rubbing dentures that are no use for chewing? Are you always scared of losing your denture and facing an embarrassing situation? Do you know that an implant-supported denture can fix all these issues and make your life much easier?
